James A. Fortmann Scholarship
The James A. Fortmann Scholarship is in honor of James Fortmann’s dedication to a career in art and art education. Mr. Fortmann, and his wife, Javus Fortmann, a former public school administrator, retired to Sedona, Arizona, and because of their connection to the region wish to award high school seniors graduating from high schools in the Verde Valley or Northern Arizona and attending a two- or four-year art school, college or university.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Renewable
- Need-Based
- Graduating high school senior from AZ
- Primary major= fine art, art education, graphic design, or digital art. Confirm by checking career choice application question. Students should be pursuing a career in fine art or returning art to the classroom.
- Minimum 2.5 GPA
- Arizona college/university
